Abstract:Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are necessary in many fields, but it can be difficult to know if a CAPA process is truly effective or not. Despite the existence of many standards that describe when and how a CAPA process should be carried out, there isn't much information on carrying out a verification of effectiveness (VOE). One method for checking the effectiveness of a CAPA is the SMART method. This method aims to decide if the CAPA was specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.
